How does Cinch tighten while I drive?
Cinch maintains a tension level based on air pressure. As your straps stretch, your load settles and the tension on your straps equalizes they lose tension. Studies show they can lose up to 50% of their tension in the first hour! Because the air pressure on Cinch is constant, any loss in tension is immediately corrected as Cinch tightens automatically to maintain that tension setting. Your straps will always be as tight as when you left the yard.
What happens if Cinch is damaged or malfunctions?
Cinch has been designed for a robust ten year operating life however in the event of a problem we have you covered. Our pawl pin ensures that any loss of air pressure will not effect strap tension. If the system develops a severe air leak the air priority valve will cut of air to our system preserving air pressure for service brakes and other functions. A shut off valve on the master control box can also turn off air supply to the system manually. Even without air each winch can still be tightened manually with a winch bar like a normal winch to ensure you are never left stranded.
Can I get Cinch installed by my trailer OEM?
Our engineering group has worked with a number of trailer OEMs and with sufficient lead time it should be possible to have Cinch installed by your OEM at their factory. Lead time requirements vary by OEM so please advise our sales team of your request and we will begin to work with your trailer OEM.
How does Cinch work with damage prone cargo?
Cinch allows you to select the best tension for the cargo and is infinitely adjustable for any cargo type. Cinch can even be specified with individually adjustable settings for mix cargo applications. With infinitely adjustable tension level up to 2000 lbs tension Cinch can handle any cargo requirement safely, consistently and precisely.
Will Cinch drain my air tanks when I am driving?
Cinch uses relatively little air to tighten your straps in the yard. It uses even less air to maintain strap tension while you drive. You can look at your air application gauge all day and never know you were using Cinch. Even with a catastrophic loss of air in the Cinch system, the air priority valve will ensure you always have sufficient air for your other systems.
