Cinch Offers Air-Powered Cargo Winch

The air-powered Cinch cargo strap winch secures a load automatically, without the use of a winch bar, while actively working to maintain a preset strap tension while the trailer is in motion.
Loss of strap tension is the reason that the North American Cargo Securement Act (Draft 5) mandated auto tensioning cargo securement devices in select applications by 2010. Cinch also complies with the standards laid out in Canada's regulations.
The Cinch allows almost anyone – regardless of age or physical condition – to secure a flatbed load. Driver recruitment and retention are addressed as Cinch opens up a significantly larger labor market for flatbed fleets than they have ever had before.
Cinch uses the onboard air system to apply in excess of 2,000 pounds tension to cargo straps. The tension can be simply adjusted to meet the requirements of any cargo type, and Cinch has a number of failsafe features to ensure continual and safe operation in the worst trucking conditions.
Cinch also offers an excellent return on investment through reduced driver workplace injuries, greater productivity and reduced cargo loss or damage.
The device is designed to appeal to both owner-operators and fleets with company drivers. Reducing the lifetime risk of injury while securing or releasing traditional winches allows drivers to extend their careers and eliminate injuries.
Cinch also helps fleets retain older experienced drivers longer, helping transport companies combat the high costs of recruitment and training. With the current driver shortage and the physical demands of flat deck operations, Traction Technologies anticipates that fleets integrating Cinch into their operations will be able to recruit from a much broader labor pool than previously possible.
