Traction Technologies has introduced an air-powered winch it calls Cinch, "The Ultimate Winch."

The Cinch secures a load automatically, without a winch bar, while actively working to maintain a preset strap tension while the trailer is in motion. Traditionally secured straps have been found to lose up to 50 percent of their tension during the first hour of a trip, the company claims.

Cinch uses the onboard air system on commercial trucks to apply in excess of 2,000 pounds to load straps. The tension can be simply adjusted to meet the requirements of any cargo type.

Cinch will be marketed through a partnership with Ancra International.
