Traction Technologies Inc was founded in 2001 and set out to commercialize innovative transportation safety technologies.

Traction Technologies was spun off from out sister firm, Forensic Dynamics, which is one of Canada's leading forensic engineering firms. The Forensic Dynamics Engineers use their understanding of physics to reconstruct and evaluate accident occurances. Our close association with Forensic Dynamics allows a continual stream of ideas on how best to minimize or reduce the risk of accidents to flow into the Traction "think tank".

Recently, our product design received national recognition when our company won the 2005 Telus New Ventures Award.

In 2006, Traction initiated the commercialization of two safety products. Our company is simultaneously launching the Cinch Auto Tensioning Cargo Securement System and the iCcold Ice Warning System. Our initial efforts combine business to business direct sales and distributorships.

Although widespread usage will take several years, the significant drop in accidents incurred by those customers who invest in our technology is what makes our efforts worth while to everyone in our company.
